A leading Capital Management firm is looking for a talented Valuation Officer to join their team in Malta. This is a newly established company in Malta and the brains behind are from the top university in Italy and have come out of global investment banks. You will work as part of the Valuation team, where you will collect information, analyse, reconcile and record the valuations of private equity and real estate funds for Net Asset Value (NAV) purposes and client reporting. The ideal candidate will have a solid educational background and be proficient in financial modelling using Excel. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Meeting financial and operational targets.

Actively managing and mitigating risks.

Helping to improve controls and procedures.

Collecting and analysing valuation reports from Private Equity and Real Estate Funds

Understanding the key metrics that drive the valuation of PE / RE funds: reconciling transactions, remaining commitment and valuation changes.

Recording and monitoring fair-value adjustments on clients’ portfolios.

Handling audit requests.
-
Managing valuation requests from clients and partners.

Preparing reports for the AIFM valuation committee.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Knowledge of the PE / RE investment fund industry.
-
University degree in Finance, Statistics or Economics.

Proficient in financial modelling using Excel.

Knowledge of accounting basics.

Ability to work in a team and independently.
-
Understanding of operational risk and internal controls appropriate to financial services would be an asset.

Fund administration, big 4 or fiduciary background desired.

Preliminary experience in the field of Private Equity is highly advantageous.
