DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide VAT compliance services to clients, including the preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns and related filings, ensuring full compliance with applicable VAT legislation and regulatory requirements

Manage other ongoing VAT compliance obligations for clients, including VAT registrations, deregistrations, reconciliations, and correspondence with tax authorities

Monitor changes in VAT legislation and guidance, assess their impact on clients, and support the implementation of compliant VAT processes and controls

Act as a key contributor within the firm’s indirect tax practice by sharing technical knowledge and practical compliance expertise with Partners and colleagues to support the growth and development of the department and firm

Encourage effective communication and information exchange within the firm’s tax practice group and across its international network

Consistently promote a collaborative, team-oriented approach in alignment with the firm’s values and quality standards

Ensure timely submissions and adherence to deadlines, and provide regular reports and updates to management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualified Accountant, or in the final stages of completing the ACCA qualification

Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a VAT compliance role

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Highly proficient in both written and spoken English

Assertive, hands-on approach with a commitment to delivering quality service

Highly detail-oriented, with a strong focus on maintaining accuracy and consistency

Knowledge of accounting software, especially Xero, would be considered an asset
