We are partnering with a leading livestreaming technology platform in Limassol to recruit a Web Tech Lead. This is a key leadership role for an experienced web engineer with a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive frontend excellence across the organisation. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor the Web Development team, work closely with global counterparts, and help shape the technology direction for web products used by millions of users worldwide.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and mentor the Web Development team in Cyprus, fostering technical excellence and a collaborative culture.

Drive architectural decisions, best practices, and standards for web technologies across the organisation.

Collaborate with global engineering leadership to align on tech strategy and delivery plans.

Oversee the design, development, testing, and optimisation of web applications.

Ensure the team delivers high quality, scalable, and maintainable code.

Monitor performance and implement improvements to optimise user experience.

Work closely with product management, UX/UI designers, and backend teams to deliver robust solutions.

Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Participate in planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives as part of agile delivery cycles.

Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members.

Encourage knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and accountability within the team.

Help define and refine development processes, workflows, and quality standards.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Proven experience in leading web development teams and delivering complex frontend projects.

Strong hands‑on expertise with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React).

Deep understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimisation, responsive design, and modern web tooling.

Proficient with RESTful APIs, state management libraries (e.g., Redux), and build tools (Webpack, Babel).

Experience with cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and containerised environments is a plus.

Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Strong problem‑solving ability and comfortable working in an agile, fast‑paced environment.

Russian language skills considered an advantage (most of the Cyprus office speaks Russian).

Fluent in English.
