GRS Recruitment is working with an established and internationally recognised shipping and maritime group in Limassol who are seeking an Accountant to join their Accounting & Reporting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with solid transactional accounting experience who is looking to join a dynamic international organisation offering long-term career prospects and an excellent working environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with Cyprus regulatory requirements. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Bookkeeping and recording of financial transactions within the accounting system.
  • Bank, debtor and creditor reconciliations.
  • Reviewing trial balances and balance sheet accounts.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT and VIES returns.
  • Supporting the audit process and liaising with auditors where required.
  • Working closely with internal departments in Cyprus and internationally.
  • Assisting with additional accounting and finance-related duties as required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or another related field.
  • 3 – 5 years of previous accounting experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English, verbally and written.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience using accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
