On behalf of a well-established Administration Service Provider based in Nicosia, we are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Compliance Officer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional looking to broaden their experience within a dynamic and regulated environment. The successful candidate will support the Compliance Department in ensuring the company adheres to all relevant regulatory obligations, including CySEC regulations, AML legislation, and GDPR requirements.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in monitoring and ensuring continuous compliance with CySEC regulations, AML Law, GDPR, and other applicable legislation.
  • Maintain and regularly update internal compliance registers such as breaches, complaints, conflicts of interest, etc.
  • Support the preparation and timely submission of regulatory reports to CySEC, including the Annual Compliance Report, AMLCO Report, RBSF, and others.
  • Assist in KYC/AML onboarding processes and conduct periodic reviews of clients, in accordance with the firm’s internal policies and risk-based approach.
  • Contribute to the review and enhancement of policies, procedures, and manuals, ensuring they reflect current laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activity or transactions to the Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO) as required.
  • Provide administrative and research support during internal and external audits or inspections.
  • Participate in training and awareness initiatives across the organization on compliance and AML-related matters.
  • Stay up to date with developments in local and European regulatory frameworks and assist in implementing relevant changes internally.
  • Handle any ad hoc compliance-related tasks assigned by the Compliance Officer and/or Company Director.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory support role within the financial or professional services sector.
  • Good understanding of the CySEC regulatory environment, AML laws, and GDPR requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Greek is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Team player with a proactive and supportive attitude.
