Our client who aids and advise to Gaming companies is searching for an Analyst to join their Authorisations team in Malta. As an Analyst within the Authorisations Department, you will be responsible for the reviewing and processing of various applications handled by the Authorisations Department. For this role GRS are looking for a candidate with a Degree in Business, Management, Finance or equivalent and at least 3 years’ experience within the gaming industry.  If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience for this role, then GRS look forward to receiving your CV for this Malta based Analyst role.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reviewing documentation submitted by gaming operators further to an application for a new Licence (including but not limited to application forms, Business Plan review and review of applicant’s operational policies and procedures)
  • Reviewing documentation submitted with applications for any new request for authorisation or notifications (including but not limited to Share Transfers, change in channels/verticals, changes to existing policies and changes in the Technical Setup in terms of new games/live studio facilities)
  • Conducting risk assessments of assigned applications as well as evaluating the sources of funds and/or wealth of applicants where required
  • Reviewing of system audit and review reports, and conducting live studio audits where required
  • Ensuring that operators are compliant with the applicable legislation, and are operating in accordance with the Authority’s directives and policies
  • Formulating; and/or assist in the development/formulation of; and/or maintaining processes/policies to achieve the objectives of the Department as may be communicated from time to time
  • Liaising with other Departments as necessary
  • Carrying out special investigations or other assignments that may be requested from time to time
  • Participating in meetings and/or calls with prospective applicants or general queries
  • Attending training, conferences and fora as required by the Malta Gaming Authority;
  • Ensuring the goals and functions of the Authority and the Department are met and that professional standards are maintained at all times
  • Carrying out any other duties/tasks as may be instructed from time to time by the Senior Executive, Team Lead, Manager, Head and/or Chief Regulatory Officer.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • In possession of a Degree (MQF Level 6) majoring in Business, Management, Finance or equivalent
  • In possession of a Degree (MQF Level 6) in any area and three years relevant experience in the gaming industry
  • Knowledgeable in accounting practices capable of working within a team, manage multiple engagements and work to demanding deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to identify high risk areas and organise and present findings and recommendations in a concise manner (both verbal and written)
  • Smart, highly motivated, well presented and with good communication, writing and organisational skills
  • Thinks analytically and acts strategically
  • Takes ownership and actions.
