A growing software development company with offices in Israel and Cyprus is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a Backend Developer (Python & Go) to join their Limassol based in Cyprus. The successful candidate will work alongside a talented engineering team building scalable backend systems and cloud-native applications for clients across Financial Services, Banking, Online Platforms, and other innovative industries. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Go.

Build scalable APIs and microservices following RESTful architecture principles.

Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best engineering practices and SOLID principles.

Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and ongoing application maintenance.

Work with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
-
Integrate with databases, caching solutions, and messaging technologies such as Redis and Kafka.

Contribute to system design discussions and evaluate new technologies and frameworks where appropriate.

Ensure applications meet security, performance, and reliability standards.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
University degree in Computer Science or another relevant discipline.
-
3-5 years of backend development experience.
-
Commercial experience with Python; exposure to Go is highly desirable or a willingness to learn.

Good understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, or similar messaging technologies.

Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.

Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
SALARY AND BENEFITS

€40,000 - €60,000 Gross Per Annum

Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
