Reporting directly to the Director of Technology Sales, this role will be responsible for assisting the commercial team with driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the adoption of the group's innovative services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Growth Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy in collaboration with the Director of Technology Sales to achieve revenue and market expansion goals
- Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including untapped markets, strategic partnerships, and innovative client solutions
- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders such as shipping companies, port authorities, and logistics providers to drive long-term engagement
- Sales Execution: Assist the Director of Technology Sales with high-value contract negotiations, close deals, and ensure alignment with organizational sales targets. Contribute to building and implementing the sales strategy
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with technology delivery teams, programme managers and marketing to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs
- Market Intelligence: Conduct detailed research on market trends, competitors, and customer requirements to inform strategic decision-making. Report to the Director of Technology Sales, CEO and presentations to Board members as required
- Aid marketing efforts by working with marketing resources to build brand awareness, organise events, attending forums, participating in relevant panels and improve digital marketing results
- Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing business development team to support group's ambitious growth objectives
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

Experience in business development, management consulting, or sales roles, ideally with experience within technology or maritime sectors

Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills

Experience working in a global environment with diverse teams and stakeholders

Knowledge of digital transformation trends in the maritime or logistics industries is highly desirable

Willingness and ability to travel extensively for business purposes is essential

Excellent understanding of commercial KPIs

Excellent presentation using the O365 suite of programs

An understanding of digital marketing concepts

A good grasp of financial concepts around budgeting and forecasts

Previous experience with Salesforce CRM

Previous experience of task management using the JIRA suite of tools
