GRS Recruitment is working in partnership with a start-up to hire a Sales and BD Specialist to join their team on a remote basis. The company is revolutionising sustainability with a data-driven, AI-powered Climate and Energy Transition Platform that helps businesses reduce emissions, optimise energy usage and unlock financial incentives. As a Sales and BD Specialist, you will play a key role in identifying and securing partnerships with hotels, restaurants and energy-intensive businesses helping them achieve sustainability while boosting their fire bottom line. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Reporting and Analytics:
  • Implement and manage reporting mechanisms within HubSpot and Notion to track key sales metrics and performance indicators.
  • Provide regular insights and recommendations based on sales analytics.
CRM Management:
  • Oversee and optimize the use of HubSpot, ensuring the sales team effectively utilizes the platform for lead management, pipeline prioritization, and prospect communication.
  • Design and implement internal sales processes and deal management best practices
Sales Strategy:
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies, leveraging data and market insights to drive revenue growth
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities amongst peer Energy and ESG software firms to inform sales approaches.
Sales Operations:
  • Develop and implement strategies for outbound sales campaigns and lead sourcing for our global sales team, leveraging internal databases and external sources including Pitchbook and LinkedIn.
Sales Team Support:
  • Research and assist with program development for existing clients and new prospects
  • Oversee email campaigns in LinkedIn Sales Navigator with other sales team members globally
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand their needs and challenges via ad hoc technical/strategic support as well as recurring one-on-one and group check-ins.
Cross-Organizational Collaboration:
  • Foster communication lines between sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure a cohesive and effective go-to-market strategy
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record in selling B2B products to Hospitality.
  • Experience at a SaaS-based energy or sustainability data management provider
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a relentless focus on data and client success.
  • Clear passion for the environment and eye for impact.
  • High adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, independent startup environment
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills - comfort describing your work at varying levels of sophistication, i.e., concisely articulating technical instruction, managing and balancing competing opinions and right-sizing conversations
  • Proven ability to conduct independent research, thoughtfully solve problems and continue to expand your knowledge base
  • Excitement for and comfort with collaboration – demonstrated ability to work well with others to manage time and team capacity
  • Experience growing and building internal processes for scaling a sales team
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot and Notion is a plus
  • Sales experience in private equity or supplier relations is a plus
