GRS Recruitment is working in partnership with a well know Entertainment and Educational facility in Nicosia who are searching for a CEO to head up the business. The successful candidate will be the key leader responsible for the long-term success of the business in alignment with the vision of the Board, overseeing the operational management, ensuring its financial sustainability, and enhancing its cultural and educational value to the community. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute the centre’s vision, mission, overall strategy and business plans ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals.
  • Maintain a clear focus on the growth of the educational programs, cultural initiatives, and entertainment activities.
  • Manage day-to-day operations across all departments/functions ensuring high performance and smooth coordination between departments.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of innovative educational/ cultural programs and initiatives that meet the needs of diverse audiences.
  • Foster collaboration with third parties, cultural institutions, educators, artists, and entertainment professionals.
  • Ensure financial sustainability by developing and implementing budgets, managing resources, and exploring revenue opportunities.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team.
  • Foster a positive organizational culture focused on innovation, creativity, and inclusivity.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to report on performance, seek guidance on strategic initiatives, and align the organization's activities with long-term objectives.
  • Collaborate with all direct reports and the staff in general to create a culture of engagement and inclusiveness.
  • Develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders, vendors, partners, public officials.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Proven leadership experience in a senior role, ideally within a cultural/ educational context. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to lead with vision and integrity.
  • Ability to develop and execute long-term strategies that integrate cultural, educational, and entertainment initiatives with financial sustainability.
  • Strong background in financial management, budgeting, and business development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, including the board, staff, community, and media.
  • Deep understanding of cultural trends, educational frameworks, and community needs. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all programs and operations.
  • Knowledge of the operational management of multi-functional organizations, including programming, human resources, marketing, and facilities management.
  • Creative and forward-thinking, with the ability to develop new programs and initiatives that elevate the center’s offerings and create community value.
  • Bachelor’s degree in arts, Business, Cultural Management, Education, or related fields.
  • Solid years of experience in a similar senior leadership role, ideally within the cultural, educational, or entertainment sectors, with a proven track record of driving growth and community engagement.
