MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITLIES
  • Oversee the accounting processes and procedures, ensuring proper and accurate accounting records are kept.
  • Understanding of the systems and maintain the relationship with the relevant service provider for any support needed.
  • Awareness & monitoring of banking facilities and arrangements (existing facilities, rates, charges, limits, bank officers, branches, signatories, standing orders in place etc.)
  • Monitoring of supplier invoices & payables ledger, including payments timeline (assumes awareness of terms & conditions with subcontractors / business partners).
  • Monitoring of debtors’ balances and collections.
  • Monitoring of revenues, WIP and disbursements.
  • Maintenance of a complete and accurate Fixed Asset Register.
  • Monthly closing of management accounts (includes prepayments, accruals, reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts, intercompany balances, accounts payables and accounts receivables) and performance of other necessary actions the Consolidation.
  • Management Information Package preparation, based on KPIs for assessing the Firm’s performance.
  • Preparation of monthly payroll.
  • Preparation of the Budget and the Cash Flow for the next new Financial Year.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements –submission of relevant forms and payments to the Income Tax and Social Insurance offices (including Defence Tax and PAYE) as well as prompt settlement pf any taxes due.
  • Monitoring of VAT and VIES preparation and submission.
  • Overseeing the audits and liaising with Auditors for the closing of yearly audits.
  • Assuming the responsibility for the establishment & monitoring of internal policies and procedures in relation to matters affecting business operations.
  • Approach day-to-day actions with an open mind, provides accurate and timely feedback to the team for development and is open to constructive feedback for self-growth.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues and is an active member of the team who is willing to help others in achieving common goals / meeting deadlines.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • An LCCI Higher in Accounting and / or a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
  • ACCA / ACA Qualified with good up to date technical knowledge of IFRSs, Tax and VAT will be considered an advantage.
  • 3 to 4 years post-qualification experience (accounting or audit role).
  • IT literacy with strong knowledge and experience of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Power Point). Knowledge of Power BI will be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Software Sage 50 Accounts will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong command of the Greek and English languages (written and verbal) is essential.
  • Able to multi-task, communicate progress and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A positive can attitude, high degree of responsibility and take ownership of their assignments.
