GRS Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading organisation operating within the marine and energy services sector, headquartered in Limassol. Our client is currently seeking to recruit an experienced and commercially focused Chief Financial Officer to lead the Group’s financial function and support its continued growth and development. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial management, treasury, reporting and commercial finance. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and the Board of Directors, providing strategic financial insight, commercial guidance and strong financial governance across the Group.

Lead and oversee all financial, accounting and treasury activities across the Group.

Develop and implement the Group’s financial strategy in alignment with its business objectives and growth plans.

Lead the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting and long-term financial planning.

Manage liquidity, cash flow, working capital and treasury operations across the Group.

Oversee banking relationships, financing arrangements, credit facilities, guarantees and other financial instruments.

Monitor Group profitability, financial performance and key financial indicators, identifying areas for improvement and corrective action.

Prepare and present accurate and timely financial and management reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.

Oversee the financial control of major projects, including revenue, costs, commitments, margins and cash flow.

Identify and manage potential cost overruns, financial exposures and deterioration in project profitability.

Review significant tenders, contracts, investments and business opportunities from a financial and commercial perspective.

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax, statutory and regulatory requirements.

Maintain a robust internal financial-control framework and appropriate financial governance across the Group.

Identify and manage financial, liquidity, credit, currency and other relevant financial risks.

Oversee external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, banks and other financial institutions.

Provide strategic financial and commercial advice to the Board in relation to major business decisions, investments and growth initiatives.

Lead, develop and strengthen the finance and accounting team, establishing clear responsibilities, performance standards and succession planning.

Drive continuous improvement, automation and digitalisation of financial processes and management reporting.

Ensure the Group’s ERP, accounting and financial reporting systems provide reliable, accurate and timely financial information.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.

ACCA/ACA/CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is required.

Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in finance and accounting, including at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership position such as CFO, Finance Director, Group Financial Controller or equivalent.

Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash-flow management and financial analysis.

Proven experience in working-capital management, banking and financing arrangements.

Experience with multi-company or Group financial reporting and consolidation.

Strong understanding of internal controls, financial governance and financial risk management.

Experience in project financial control and the financial evaluation of major contracts, tenders and investments.

Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate financial information into practical business decisions.

Excellent leadership, analytical, strategic planning and decision-making skills.

Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively challenge, influence and work with senior management and Board-level stakeholders.

High level of integrity, accountability and professional judgement.

Strong knowledge of ERP/accounting systems and financial reporting tools.

Experience within a marine, shipyard, engineering, construction, energy, industrial or other project-based environment will be considered a strong advantage.
