GRS Recruitment are collaborating with a respected specialist marine contractor, salvor and provider of marine engineering services who are seeking an experienced ‘Civil Engineer’ to join our client’s team on a six-month contract to support ongoing and upcoming marine and infrastructure projects. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing site activities, supporting procurement processes, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with project specifications. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and coordinate site works to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and safety regulations

Monitor project progress and provide regular site and project reports

Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BoQ)

Support procurement processes, including material take-offs, technical evaluations, and supplier coordination

Assist in planning and scheduling using Microsoft Project

Prepare and review technical drawings using AutoCAD

Ensure quality control and adherence to company and regulatory standards

Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal departments

Support project delivery within agreed timelines and budgets
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
-
Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience

Strong site supervision and coordination skills

Proven experience with procurement processes and Bill of Quantities

Ability to prepare detailed site and project reports

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Proficiency in Microsoft Project

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
