We are seeking a Senior IT Engineer (L2) to join our Malta office, providing advanced technical and cybersecurity support to our regional IT infrastructure. The role works closely with IT leadership based in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Cyprus and acts as the primary EU operational counterpart to the IT Team Lead.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide hands-on L2/L3 technical support for EU offices, with secondary regional support as required.

Act as escalation point for high-severity incidents impacting infrastructure and business‑critical systems.

Deliver EU‑scoped network and cybersecurity projects, including:

Network upgrades, firewalls, VPN / SASE implementations

Microsoft security controls (Defender, Azure Defender, Conditional Access)

Infrastructure and security remediation initiatives
-
Own and maintain regional infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, SD‑WAN, Azure connectivity, core services).

Ensure systems are patched, monitored, and compliant with operational and security standards.

Support audits, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, internal controls).

Mentor local support engineers and support SLA adherence.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Strong hands-on experience in enterprise networking and security.

Experience supporting multi-site, multi-country environments.

Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

Exposure to technologies such as Azure, CATO Networks, HP Aruba, Cisco Meraki.

Solid understanding of ITSM processes (incident, change, problem management).

Ability to work independently, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and operate in regulated environments.
