GRS Recruitment is working in partnership with a global leader in legal and regulatory services, who are currently seeking a Compliance Analyst to join their team in Limassol. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing compliance team within a leading international organisation that supports some of the most complex work in anti-money laundering, sanctions, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the company remains fully compliant with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and international standards. This role offers an excellent platform for professionals with a strong understanding of AML/KYC, due diligence, and risk management to progress their career within a dynamic and respected global structure.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluate new clients and related parties to assess business nature, ownership structure, source of funds, and risk factors.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing screening of clients, vendors, and partners using internal and external tools to identify PEPs, sanctions, and adverse media.
  • Draft and escalate high-risk and PEP client profiles to senior compliance personnel for review and approval.
  • Perform full customer due diligence (CDD) processes, including document collection, verification, and analysis under AML/KYC standards.
  • Review and verify legal and corporate documentation such as ID, company registration, and UBO structures.
  • Prepare and monitor onboarding files, ensuring quality standards are met and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Assist in filing suspicious transaction reports (STRs) to authorities when required.
  • Support the Compliance Manager with daily operations, managing team workflow and allocating tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain tracking systems for compliance-related activities and ensure follow-up across internal teams.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and action trackers to monitor team performance and compliance activities.
  • Ensure database accuracy by running integrity control reports and cleaning up client compliance data.
  • Provide internal training (e.g., onboarding, AML topics) and support knowledge sharing across the business.
  • Serve as a liaison between local and international teams, supporting cross-functional compliance coordination.
  • Participate in conflict checks and escalation processes.
  • Assist with the ongoing development and implementation of compliance processes and administrative systems.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory developments and ensure internal policies remain current.
  • Support ad hoc projects and additional compliance responsibilities as directed by senior leadership.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Compliance or a related field (professional certifications will be considered an advantage).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a compliance role, preferably within the legal, offshore, or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations, sanctions, PEP screening and complex legal structures.
  • Experience in regulatory and board-level reporting.
  • Comfortable working with tools such as LexisNexis, Riskscreen, Intapp, or ServiceNow.
  • High level of IT literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
