On behalf of our client, a successful investment and brokerage company based in Nicosia, GRS Recruitment are seeking a Compliance Officer.  The successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant role, experience working with regulations such as AML or sanctions, and a CySEC advanced certificate.  If you are interested in joining a fast growing and professional team, then this is the job for you!  We look forward to receiving your CV for this Nicosia based Compliance Officer role.  
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze changes in the Laws, regulations, guidelines (e.g. AML, Sanctions, MiFID) & applying them in all operational processes
  • Evaluation, supervision, guidance & implementation of the company's compliance AML policies & manuals
  • Perform of in-depth analysis of various corporate structures (trusts, funds, UCITS etc.) on a risk-approach basis
  • Analyze source of wealth of prospect clients through financials and other documentation
  • Look after records of high risk clients and report suspicious activities, if any
  • Interaction with team members at all levels of the organization
  • AML screening & monitoring against all sanctions lists
  • Perform other tasks as might be assigned by management
  • Provide / organize trainings on relevant subjects to the employees of the company.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Professional experience for the similar profile for at least 3 years in full time occupation in CIF
  • Experience working with different regulations such as: AML, Sanctions
  • Cysec Advanced & AML Certificates are a plus
  • Attention to details and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Good command of the English language (verbal and written)
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations effectively and conclusively
  • Profound knowledge & expertise in various corporate structures (trusts, funds, UCITS etc.) is a plus
  • FSA certification is a plus
  • University or postgraduate degree in Law, Finance or Economics
