A leading FMCG brand is seeking an experienced and driven Country Manager to lead and expand its operations in Malta. This is a senior commercial role responsible for accelerating growth, strengthening distribution, and maximizing brand performance within the Maltese FMCG market. This position is ideal for a commercially astute professional with strong FMCG sales experience in Malta, a deep understanding of local retail and on-trade channels, and a proven ability to build and manage high-performing partnerships.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the brand’s sales and commercial strategy across Malta

Improve and manage relationships with key FMCG customers, distributors, retailers, and on-trade partners

Identify, negotiate, and secure new business opportunities nationwide

Drive distribution, shelf presence, and brand visibility in all relevant channels

Manage promotional campaigns, marketing materials, and point-of-sale execution
-
Set, monitor, and achieve ambitious sales and growth targets

Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer performance

Analyse sales results, draw conclusions and prepare corrective action plans

Manage the sales team, recruit and retain employees

Provide training and personal coaching for the sales representatives

Act as the main point of contact for the brand in Malta
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Proven experience in FMCG sales or commercial management in Malta

Strong network within Maltese retail, wholesale, or on-trade channels

Fluent in Maltese and English

Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills

Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Confident using mobile sales and reporting applications (training provided)

Holds a valid driving licence

Highly results-driven, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated

Able to work independently while representing the brand locally
