GRS Recruitment are working on behalf of a leading service provider in Limassol who are looking to recruit a detail-oriented and highly organised Crew Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting and payroll professional with strong analytical skills and experience in payroll administration, invoice processing, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate management of crew payroll, operational expenses, and budget reporting while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Crew Payroll Administration
  • Prepare, review, control, and manage monthly payroll for security personnel using HR and payroll software.
  • Accurately calculate salaries, bonuses, allowances, reimbursements, deductions, and other payroll-related payments.
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Generate and distribute payslips as required.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries and resolve issues efficiently.
Crew Administration & Record Management
  • Maintain regular communication with security personnel and port agents regarding expenses, cash advances, and payroll matters.
  • Ensure all employee and payroll records are maintained accurately and in accordance with company procedures, ISO standards, MLC regulations, and GDPR requirements.
  • Support HR and operational teams with payroll-related administration and documentation.
Operational Invoice Management
  • Review operational invoices and verify that services and charges from suppliers, providers, and port agents are accurate.
  • Update cost tracking records and maintain organised invoice filing systems.
  • Liaise with suppliers and service providers to obtain missing documentation or resolve discrepancies.
  • Forward approved invoices for payment processing.
Training & Deduction Administration
  • Review training-related invoices and accurately record deductions applicable to security personnel.
  • Maintain and update deduction records to ensure payroll accuracy.
Budget Reporting & Financial Analysis
  • Prepare detailed budget reports for assigned operational lines in collaboration with Line Managers.
  • Monitor operational costs and support budget control initiatives.
  • Ensure expenses are accurately reflected and remain within approved company budgets.
ShipMoney Card Management
  • Coordinate the activation, replacement, and maintenance of ShipMoney cards issued to security personnel.
Cash Advance Administration
  • Process and monitor contractor cash advance requests in line with company procedures and approval processes.
  • Maintain accurate cash advance records and provide supporting documentation to the Accounting Department.
  • Update tracking systems and reconcile cash advance transactions.
  • Provide administrative and financial support as required by the Head of Department and Department Supervisors.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting, payroll, and operational projects when required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Previous experience in payroll administration, accounting, finance, or a related role.
  • Strong numerical aptitude with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, multitask effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken English.
  • Proactive, professional, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and payroll/HR software.
  • Academic qualification, college diploma, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Relevant accounting, payroll, finance, or HR-related training.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems, HR processes, and financial administration.
  • Experience using PANGEA and HR/Payroll software will be considered a strong advantage.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
  • €18,200 - €22, 100 Gross Per Annum.
  • Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
