An international group specialising in creative, results-driven online marketing solutions is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a Finance & Accounting Officer for its team in Nicosia.
This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of experience in finance or accounting to develop their skills within a growing international group operating in the online marketing and affiliate industry. Working closely with the Group Financial Controller, you will support a range of finance and accounting activities, including invoicing, payments, reconciliations, tax reporting and banking relationships.
The successful candidate will be organised, detail-oriented and proactive, with a willingness to learn and take ownership of their responsibilities in a fast-paced, international environment.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the Group's invoicing and collections processes.

Manage incoming and outgoing payments, including international transfers, payment documentation and related correspondence.

Liaise with banks and Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs) regarding payment matters and accounting requirements.

Monitor liquidity, maintain accurate payment records and prepare monthly reports and reconciliation analyses.

Assist with monthly VAT and tax reporting, keeping up to date with relevant regulations across the EU, the US and other key markets.

Support KYC reviews and onboarding processes for new bank accounts and EMIs.

Conduct market research to identify potential banking and electronic money partners.

Monitor daily foreign exchange rates and provide recommendations regarding currency conversions.

Assist auditors and external advisors with information requests and supporting documentation.

Investigate discrepancies and provide relevant insights into management.

Support the Group's wider finance activities and other ad hoc tasks as required.

The position reports directly to the Group's Financial Controller.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

BSc/MSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.

1–3 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role.

Experience in an online or digital business would be an advantage.

Familiarity with online payments or Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs) would be considered an asset.

Strong Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines and work under pressure.

A proactive, detail-oriented approach, with good problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
