An exciting opportunity has arisen within a legal firm, with an outstanding reputation for a Financial & Corporate Lawyer to join their team in Malta. You will focus mainly on areas of capital markets, corporate and M&A, sustainable finance and ESG, gaming, general commercial and/or fintech. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years’ experience in a similar role and be Warranted to act as a Lawyer. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with team members and manage client relationships, under the supervision of the partners of the firm responsible for the Corporate and Finance practice areas
  • Focus mainly on areas of capital markets, corporate and M&A, sustainable finance and ESG, gaming, general commercial and/or fintech
  • Advise high-profile clients and/or foreign counsel and assist the team on a wide range of transactional work with both domestic and international dimensions
  • Conduct legal research on various points of law and providing legal opinions on points of law
  • Involvement in commercial disputes, where necessary in combination with the firm’s dispute resolution team.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Hold a Law degree from the University of Malta (Doctor of Laws or Master of Advocacy), with a warrant to practice under Maltese law
  • Candidates with a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role will be given preference
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in Maltese and English.
  • IT literate, with experience and good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other major software applications.
