An exciting opportunity has arisen within a legal firm, with an outstanding reputation for a Financial & Corporate Lawyer to join their team in Malta. You will focus mainly on areas of capital markets, corporate and M&A, sustainable finance and ESG, gaming, general commercial and/or fintech. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years’ experience in a similar role and be Warranted to act as a Lawyer. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with team members and manage client relationships, under the supervision of the partners of the firm responsible for the Corporate and Finance practice areas

Focus mainly on areas of capital markets, corporate and M&A, sustainable finance and ESG, gaming, general commercial and/or fintech

Advise high-profile clients and/or foreign counsel and assist the team on a wide range of transactional work with both domestic and international dimensions

Conduct legal research on various points of law and providing legal opinions on points of law
-
Involvement in commercial disputes, where necessary in combination with the firm’s dispute resolution team.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Hold a Law degree from the University of Malta (Doctor of Laws or Master of Advocacy), with a warrant to practice under Maltese law

Candidates with a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role will be given preference

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in Maltese and English.

IT literate, with experience and good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other major software applications.
