An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified Lawyer to join a global Accounting & Advisory Firm in Malta. You will collaborate with experts from diverse professional backgrounds and leverage your skills in corporate and commercial transactional law across a diverse array of projects, encompassing advising on corporate restructuring strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance in financial services, assisting in establishment and maintenance of legal arrangements for wealth management, supporting clients in obtaining financial services licenses, and conducting legal research and analysis to provide actionable insights and recommendations. The perfect candidate will have at least two years of post-qualification experience, a corporate services background and have had exposure to one or more of the following -financial services (particularly asset management and digital finance), gaming and esports, private client services (residency, citizenship, colocation), mobility (aviation, land transport, shipping, micro-mobility). MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engage in strategic and transactional advisory services
  • Contribute to business transformation projects
  • Assist in ensuring accessibility to finance for our clients
  • Play a pivotal role in risk management initiatives
  • Assist on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and complex corporate restructurings.
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of trusts and other legal arrangements.
  • Work on financial services license applications across traditional pillars and innovative sectors, with a focus on growth and business development opportunities in the securities space, including asset management and capital markets.
  • Provide regulatory advice to clients in the financial services industry.
  • Draft and review contracts, documents, and agreements in the financial services and corporate domains.
  • Advise on corporate restructuring and regulatory compliance.
  • Support in the preparation of regulatory filings and applications.
  • Participate in regulatory due diligence on regulated entities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for projects and business plans.
  • Engage in legal research and analysis related to financial services regulation.
  • Contribute to training sessions on relevant topics.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Minimum 2-years post qualified experience a corporate services background and have had exposure to one or more of the following -financial services (particularly asset management and digital finance), gaming and esports, private client services (residency, citizenship, colocation), mobility (aviation, land transport, shipping, micro-mobility)
  • A warrant to practice law in Malta is considered an asset.
  • Very strong writing, reporting and documenting skills are essential to this role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
