A global financial institution, which is fully regulated by the MFSA is looking for a Greek Speaking Relationship Manager to join their Factoring team in Malta. You will be responsible for creating, growing and maintaining a portfolio of factoring clients including growing the client facilities and assets as well as creation of cross sell opportunities into the different bank products to achieve the desired KPIs and targets of asset levels, number of clients, Interest and Fee income as well as the safe management of clients including NPA levels and costs. The ideal candidate will be a corporate Banking Relationship Manager with 5 to 7 years of experience, fluent in Greek and have factoring experience. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in planning the portfolio growth through the development of a business plan for all factoring products
  • Meet with existing and prospect customers though personal calling efforts and other contacts to discuss business needs and recommend ways in which the bank can help provide business solutions to their financial needs
  • Develop of credit approval documents including full review of company background, financials, financial analysis, solution structuring and documentation, analysing risks;
  • Implementation of deals which includes onboarding, coordination with different areas of the bank, including the trade finance solution structuring desk, documentation and security
  • Develop and maintain the company’s relationships with contacts / customers to maintain and expand business, and ensure close monitor of client behaviour and financial soundness
  • Product related activities including new product developments, enhancements, Fintech tie ups, and system integrations and upgrades. Responsibility will be end to end from identification to implementation
  • Cultivate prospects independently and supporting the team through customer referrals, networking, and participation in professional organisations, social contacts and relationships built in the community
  • Oversight over the Greece factoring portfolio with direct responsibility for the activities of the consultancy team and direct ownership of all the relationships
  • Cross sale of all services
  • Maintain business pipeline and customer database
  • Pre-qualification, structuring and pricing of all facilities in his/her designated areas;
  • Ensure safe running of the client facility and adherence to all compliance and regulatory control requirements. Follows-up on exceptions to insure timely clearing. Controls volume of exceptions
  • Review facilities performance and profitability analysis and outlines strategies to ensure optimal portfolio profitability
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders and departments in servicing routine transactions, portfolio maintenance and solving customer queries, including follow-up of transactions (disbursement and settlements), customer onboarding, reviews, facility letters, etc
  • Contributing to positive team spirit within the department and other colleagues;
  • Providing creative insights and initiative to increase profitability of the business and/or better manage expenses
  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff
  • Embracing targets and guidelines provided by the management
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Native level Greek and fluent in English
  • A corporate Banking Relationship Manager with 5 to 7 years of experience dealing with midsize and large corporates within different industries
  • Working experience and knowledge in factoring products
  • Deep understanding and hands on experience in structuring and closing factoring transactions as well as strong credit analysis working knowledge
  • Experience and knowledge of European and Mediterranean business environment and client base with ability to hit the ground running with an origination client base
  • Strong sales and communication skills
  • Project management and product management experience preferrable.
  • The ability to analyze, sound judgement and strong organisational skills are essential in order to balance workloads and meet deadlines
  • A good knowledge of regulations surrounding KYC and customer due diligence. Conduct due diligence on new and existing customers and ongoing transaction monitoring
  • Strong research, analytical and numeracy skills and be conversant with mainstream banking applications and the MS Office suite
