A top-tier and international Asset Management firm is searching for a Group Senior Accountant to join their professional firm in Malta. This is a varied role, covering month end close, payments and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be fully ACCA qualified or equivalent. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the ERP system

Preparation of payment run in multiple jurisdictions

Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to: banking, customer, vendor, accruals, etc.

Month-end close: prepare the trial balance and other material for the monthly closing of the company books

Involved in collating information for budget purposes and their reporting

Participation in the preparation of the vat/tax returns and financial reports
-
Maintaining and preparing accounting internal controls
-
Assistance with respect to the company’s statutory and tax audits

Working in tandem with the company's finance team members
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or ACCA qualified
-
CPA warranted Ideally).

At least 3 years experience in similar role
-
Knowledge of accounting and tax legislation
-
Proven experience in monthly and year-end closing
-
Experience using SAGE is considered an advantage
-
Excellent written and spoken English
-
Experience in excel
-
Well organized, motivated, with the ability to work with limited supervision
