Our esteemed client, a reputable firm based in Larnaca, is seeking a Group Tax Manager to join the team. The Group Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all tax matters at group level, supporting the Group’s investment, financing, and structuring activities. The role requires strong expertise in Cyprus and international tax, with particular focus on real estate investment structures, funds, and cross-border transactions. This is a hands-on role combining strategic tax planning, compliance oversight, and advisory support to senior management.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement the Group’s tax strategy in line with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Advise on tax-efficient structuring of real estate investments and disposals, investment funds, SPVs, and holding structures, debt and equity financing arrangements

Support cross-border investments, ensuring compliance with international tax treaties and EU directives.

Oversee corporate tax, VAT, and withholding tax compliance for Cyprus and foreign entities.

Coordinate and review tax filings prepared by internal teams and external advisors.

Manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors, and external tax consultants.

Ensure timely and accurate tax provisioning and reporting for group financial statements.

Provide tax input on property acquisitions, developments, and disposals, lease structures and real estate income streams

Support M&A transactions, restructurings, and refinancing activities from a tax perspective.

Participate in due diligence processes for new investments and acquisitions.

Oversee transfer pricing policies and documentation across group entities.

Monitor and assess the impact of OECD BEPS, Pillar Two, ATAD, DAC6, and other international tax developments.

Ensure substance, economic presence, and governance requirements are met across jurisdictions.

Identify tax risks and exposures and propose practical mitigation strategies.

Advise senior management on tax implications of strategic decisions.

Contribute to internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or related field.

Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ADIT, CTA, or equivalent.

7+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally including International or group tax roles and Real estate and investment structures

Prior experience in a Big 4, international advisory firm, or in-house group tax function is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation, including Corporate income tax, VAT (particularly real estate-related VAT), Withholding taxes

Solid understanding of international tax principles, double tax treaties, and EU directives.

Experience with investment funds and real estate-backed structures is a strong advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly to non-tax stakeholders.

High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.

Excellent written and spoken English (Greek is an advantage).

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, international environment.
