Our esteemed client, based in Limassol, is seeking a dedicated and strategic Head of Banking and PSP to lead their payments and banking division. This role involves developing and enhancing payment products and services, overseeing account opening and KYC processes, and managing payment-related projects end-to-end. The ideal candidate will identify and negotiate with banking partners, ensure compliance with AML/CFT regulations, and maintain effective communication with internal teams to support seamless account operations. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in financial operations are essential to ensure regulatory adherence and efficient banking workflows.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the banking and payments processing strategy of the company as directed by management

Develop the offering of payment products and services to complement the company’s strategy, development and growth

Manage payment related projects from A-Z, managing and controlling the full project aspects

Oversee and coordinate internally the process of account opening activities, provide the documentation requested by the banks and manage the KYC and due diligence processes.

Identify and assess potential banking partners based on the company’s needs and regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain relationships with banks, electronic money institutions and payment service providers worldwide.

Negotiate favourable terms with banking partners and financial service providers.

Implement and oversee AML and CFT policies and procedures for banking operations.

Work closely with compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Work closely with onboarding and finance teams to ensure adherence to each bank requirements and conditions for the account operations.

Address banking-related inquiries from company and customers and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Handling of transaction monitoring requests by financial institutions

Handling review process following bank requests.

Maintain up to date records of all applications and KYC documentation.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

A university degree in either Economics, Banking and Finance, Business Administration or a related field is a must.

At least three years of experience in a similar position is a must.

Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail, excellent time management skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.

Can work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of KYC and due diligence process for corporate clients
