A leading Fintech firm is searching for a Head of Client Management to join their business development and client management team in Malta. You will report to the Chief Business Development and Client Relationships Officer and be responsible for leading and managing the distribution strategy for investment services both retail and institutional.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in distribution or sales within the investment management/banking/finance industry and hold a degree in a suitable subject matter. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Identify new market opportunities and optimize existing channels to drive growth.
  • Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the distribution team to achieve sales targets and business goals. Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and institutional clients. Understand their needs, provide tailored investment solutions, and ensure a high level of client satisfaction. This also includes the management and review of client portfolios.
  • Channel Management: Oversee the management and optimization of all distribution channels, including direct sales, intermediaries, and digital platforms. Develop partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance distribution capabilities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends, client preferences, and emerging opportunities. Use insights to inform strategic decisions and improve distribution effectiveness.
  • Product & Service Promotion: Collaborate with both the research and the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns for investment products. Ensure consistent messaging and brand positioning across all distribution channels.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all distribution activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and company policies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices. Ensure that team members continuously follow best practise and regulatory requirements when servicing clients.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of distribution strategies. Regularly review and analyze sales data, client feedback, and market trends to inform continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Research, Marketing, Compliance, and Operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to client service and business development.
  • Client Management Oversight: oversee the Client Management team, guiding them on both the management of existing client relationships and the obtaining of new clients.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution or sales within the investment management/banking/finance industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
