MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Lead and manage the Tax Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services across all tax functions.
  • Review, prepare, and submit corporate tax computations and returns.
  • Prepare and file personal income tax returns for employees and self-employed individuals.
  • Review financial statements to identify Transfer Pricing implications and potential areas of tax exposure.
  • Oversee a wide range of tax compliance obligations, including provisional tax, Special Defence Contributions (SDC), and other related requirements.
  • Handle applications and liaise with the Tax Department for various certificates, such as tax clearance, tax residency, and non-domicile status.
  • Represent clients in correspondence, discussions, and negotiations with the Tax Department and other authorities.
  • Provide strategic advice on direct taxation matters, including tax planning, corporate restructuring, and international tax considerations.
  • Stay informed of developments in tax legislation and communicate key updates and their implications to management and clients.
  • Manage Capital Gains Tax (CGT) matters to ensure full compliance with local tax laws.
  • Prepare and provide Tax Rulings and opinions to clients as needed.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualification is required.
  • ADIT qualification (or an equivalent international tax certification) will be considered an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Proven leadership experience, or readiness to lead and manage a professional team.
  • Excellent knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation.
  • Experience in preparing Transfer Pricing Studies will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Greek and English.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under strict deadlines.
