We are seeking a senior Technology and Product leader to spearhead the launch of a new venture within a well-established international group. This hands-on strategic leadership role will drive the evolution of an in-house platform from early-stage Proof of Concept to a fully secure, resilient, compliant, and scalable production environment. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise, product vision, and operational leadership to deliver impact across architecture, engineering, product planning, and compliance, shaping both the platform and the venture’s future success.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the end-to-end technical and product roadmap for the new venture.

Prioritize remediation of critical risks identified in the Technology Risk Assessment.

Translate commercial objectives into technical requirements and sequenced delivery milestones.

Collaborate with product, UX, and operational teams to define and refine the user journey.

Define and implement the target architecture for applications, APIs, backend systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure.

Lead migration to an enterprise-grade backend framework and robust cloud-native setup (Kubernetes, HA Postgres, Redis, blob storage, message broker, observability stack).

Introduce standards for API design, security, multi-tenancy, documentation, and system flows.

Lead a lean, high-performing engineering organization across backend, frontend, mobile, QA, and DevOps/SRE.

Strengthen engineering discipline through automated testing, CI/CD gating, code quality standards, documentation, and development workflows.

Own the security control matrix and ensure full remediation of gaps (logging, RBAC, encryption, SCA, pen-testing, vulnerability scanning).

Ensure compliance readiness for PSD2, PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.

Introduce auditability across all systems (immutable logs, 7-year retention policies, webhook logging, session revocation).

Partner closely with Risk, Compliance, and the executive team for reporting and regulatory engagement.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
7+ years of senior leadership experience in fintech, payments, or financial services.

Proven track record in building and operating regulated or high-availability platforms.

Deep knowledge of modern backend architectures, cloud-native environments, Postgres/Redis, distributed systems, and messaging.

Experience building and managing security functions in fast-growing or startup environments.

Strong product sense, able to convert business and customer needs into coherent technical roadmaps.

Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer) are advantageous.

Familiarity with regulatory standards (PSD2, PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001) and compliance frameworks.
