The Executive – Human Resources will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing all core human resources functions throughout the employee lifecycle at MGA. This role plays a key part in fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture by managing employee engagement, internal communications, HR operations, and employee relations. The Executive – Human Resources contributes to recruitment, onboarding, policy development, compliance, employer branding, and event coordination, ensuring that HR practices align with organisational objectives. The role also provides support for HR analytics, reporting, and other HR-related initiatives, acting as a reliable point of contact for employees and promoting job satisfaction and retention across the Authority.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR programmes and initiatives that support the MGA’s strategic goals, ensuring a balanced focus on employee engagement, professional development, and operational excellence.

Collaborate with managers and teams to identify and address HR needs across departments, including but not limited to learning and development, employee relations, performance management, and workplace culture.

Drive employee engagement by developing and supporting a variety of initiatives that enhance the employee experience, foster well-being, and strengthen morale across the organisation.

Plan and coordinate a range of internal events, such as team-building activities, employee recognition initiatives, social gatherings, and ESG programmes, to promote a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.

Support effective internal communications by ensuring employees are well-informed and engaged with HR policies, updates, and cultural initiatives.

Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of HR strategies, bringing forward innovative ideas that advance workforce engagement, inclusion, and a strong organisational culture.

Serve as a reliable point of contact for employees, gathering feedback, addressing concerns, and supporting efforts to enhance job satisfaction and retention.

Ensure HR policies, procedures, and initiatives are up to date, compliant with regulatory requirements, and aligned with MGA’s core values and strategic objectives.

Monitor and report on key HR metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement across all HR functions.

Support the broader operations of the HR team, including involvement in recruitment, onboarding, employer branding, policy development, payroll assistance, and procedural updates as needed.

Stay current with trends and best practices in HR through participation in relevant training, professional development, and networking opportunities.

Undertake any other HR-related duties or projects as delegated from time to time, ensuring a flexible and comprehensive approach to supporting the needs of the organisation.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Degree-level education in Human Resources, Management, or a related field (MQF level 6 or equivalent).

A diploma (MQF level 5 or equivalent) will be considered if supported by relevant experience.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Human Resources position.

Strong understanding of learning and development methodologies, employee

engagement strategies, and event planning.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage different audiences effectively.

Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to proactively address challenges.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision.

Passion for fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing employee experience.

Knowledge or experience in CSR initiatives and HR reporting is an asset.

Familiarity with payroll processes.

Competence in data analysis and HR analytics to evaluate workforce trends and offer informed recommendations.
