Our clients are seeking a dynamic and results-driven HR Manager to join their growing team. The HR Manager will play a key role in aligning our people strategy with the company’s vision and values. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to contribute to a high-performing, hospitality-focused organisation by fostering a motivated, skilled, and engaged workforce. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of HR activities—from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, compliance, and performance management—ensuring that our teams are supported, developed, and inspired to deliver outstanding service.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the welfare, development, and engagement of all employees, while ensuring hotel policies are effectively implemented.
  • Coach and advise the management team on employment practices and HR-related matters.
  • Lead and manage the full cycle of recruitment, training, and staff development.
  • Support management in manpower planning and workforce optimisation.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are compliant with local legislation and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Act as a key communicator on matters relating to employee relations, hotel policies, and staff initiatives.
  • Develop and manage the department’s goals, business plan, and yearly budget.
  • Prepare and present periodic HR reports for management and regulatory authorities.
  • Foster a positive and open workplace culture, promoting communication, morale, and productivity.
  • Drive continuous staff engagement and recognition programmes.
  • Monitor and support the performance appraisal process, guiding departmental heads and attending review meetings.
  • Provide guidance on career development, training, and employee relations, including legal aspects.
  • Stay updated with emerging HR trends and practices and proactively implement improvements.
  • Actively participate in training, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an HR Managerial role; a background in hospitality/operations is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in Maltese and English (both spoken and written).
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems, databases, and HR metrics.
  • People-oriented yet results-driven, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Maltese labour law and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must already be based in Malta.
  • A self-motivated, confident, and efficient professional capable of managing, delegating, and following up on tasks in a timely manner.
  • Full-time office-based role (40 hours/week) covering 2 hotels in Sliema and Valletta.
