MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide Level 2 technical support to customers.

Installing and maintaining operating systems such as Windows or Linux

Investigate issues and provide solutions for clients.

Installing and monitoring Cyber security issues and providing secure solutions

Responding and communicating with clients in a timely and professional manner

Continue learning and investing in training or further certifications in the IT industry, being up to date or ahead with the latest technology in the field
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Be passionate about continuous learning and to understand and apply new technologies
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on client service and solutions
-
Ability to work effectively both independently with minimum supervision, and as part of a team
-
Experience and knowledge of one or more server operating systems (Windows or Linux)
-
Knowledge and past experience with enterprise storage arrays (SAN) technologies and platforms (FC & iSCSI)
-
Experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise backup solutions for DR/BCP
-
Knowledge and experience with script languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.)
-
Being able to navigate the world of APIs and automation.

Experience in designing, implementing and managing VMware vSphere
-
Microsoft MCSA/MCSE Equivalent, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), LPI-II Certifications (would be considered an asset)

An MQF Level 5 qualification (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent, OR previous experience working in an enterprise IT environment, ideally with four years experience as a preference.
