GRS Recruitment is working in partnership with an established financial services brand to appoint a VP, Institutional Sales within its growing Prime / DMA Equities business. This is a frontline, revenue-owning role focused on winning and growing institutional clients for an DMA equities offering, alongside portfolio financing and leveraged solutions. We are looking for a commercially driven, hands-on producer who understands electronic equities, institutional workflows, and how sophisticated clients assess execution, market access, and platform capability. This is not a broad coverage or account management role. It is a pure sales position where success is measured by your ability to originate opportunities, win mandates, and convert pipeline into revenue-generating client relationships.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Originate and close new institutional and professional client relationships
  • Sell a DMA equities proposition alongside prime brokerage and financing solutions
  • Target professional traders, family offices, wealth platforms, brokers, asset managers, and institutional clients
  • Clearly articulate value across execution, market access, platform workflow, and commercial structure
  • Build and manage a self-generated pipeline through proactive business development
  • Lead client meetings, structure pitches, negotiate commercials, and close deals
  • Work closely with internal teams to onboard clients while maintaining a front-office sales focus
  • Maintain strong pipeline discipline, forecasting accuracy, and CRM management
  • Represent the business externally to strengthen its market presence
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • 5+ years’ experience in institutional equities, DMA, electronic trading, prime brokerage, or portfolio financing sales
  • Proven track record of originating and closing new business
  • Strong understanding of cash equities, DMA execution, and market structure
  • Experience with Iress or a comparable electronic equities platform is highly desirable
  • Established network across institutional and professional client segments
  • Ability to engage credibly with sophisticated counterparties on execution and commercial topics
  • Highly self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with strong accountability for revenue generation
  • Additional languages are an advantage
