MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide best-in-class operational support to ensure the stability and high availability of our production systems and trading platforms.

Triage Trading Systems related tickets and alerts to maintain system availability.

Troubleshoot production incidents and outages resulting from internal trading system services or external factors (trading venues, market data feeds, network outages, etc.).

Collaborate with Infrastructure and DevOps teams to automate repetitive tasks.

Liaise with regulators and internal team members to prepare reports or documentation required by business on the IT systems, IT business continuity and configuration.

Promote incident and change management towards higher levels of excellence.

Identify improvements and present new solutions and ideas to solve technical or business issues that impact trading platforms.

Interact with various venues regarding technical support issues with payment gateways, CRMs, BackOffice, Risk Management, and any other business impacting or client facing systems.

Document work in Confluence and share knowledge with peers and other teams, proactively communicating work done and work in progress.

Adhere to Change Management and Incident Management processes and procedures.

Coordinate changes to platforms with trading venues and third-party vendors for testing, conformance, upgrades, and migrations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Experience in Global financial markets, in particular Spot FX, CFDs, Cryptos.
-
MetaTrader 4 and 5 and any other trading platform, ECN, or aggregator.
-
Windows Server OS and basic Linux support.
-
Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, or any similar system to manage work tickets and create documentation.

Experience supporting proprietary trading system.
-
Proficient in SQL, ability to write select, insert, update, and delete statements.

Ability to parse logs quickly and extract and redact information and present it.

Experience with monitoring tools ELK, Splunk, Datadog, etc.
-
Good networking knowledge of TCP connectivity, and using commands (e.g., netstat, route, etc.) and tools (e.g., Wireshark etc.) to troubleshoot issues.

Strong analytic mind and problem-solving skills, digging into complex problems and working to resolution.

Good mathematics ability to follow trading calculations (e.g., Swaps, Margin Requirement, etc.).

Experience with automation in any of Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Chef, etc.

Highly collaborative team player with the ability to build relationships with multiple teams
-
Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Solid understanding of technical concepts related to networking and system engineering.

Available to participate in an on-call rotation and work outside of business hours and on weekends for systems maintenance, configuration changes, updates and BCP tests.
