For their newly established team in Limassol, they are currently seeking to recruit an IT Specialist. As an IT Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and maintaining the IT infrastructure essential for the Company’s trading operations. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to optimise IT systems, enhance security measures, and deliver seamless trading experiences to our clients.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide direct technical support to end-users, including traders, support staff, and other team members, to resolve software, hardware, and network issues efficiently.

Install, configure, and maintain trading software, trading terminals, and other proprietary applications critical to our trading operations.

Monitor system performance, conduct routine maintenance tasks, and perform software updates to ensure the reliability and efficiency of IT systems.

Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, diagnose hardware failures, and implement solutions to minimise downtime and ensure uninterrupted trading activities.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to implement security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems, to protect sensitive data and prevent cyber threats.

Conduct regular audits of IT systems and infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and implement remediation measures as needed.

Provide training and technical guidance to end-users on IT best practices, security protocols, and software usage to enhance productivity and reduce security risks.

Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and IT policies to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization.

Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, conduct research, and make recommendations for IT infrastructure upgrades and enhancements to support business objectives.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as an IT Specialist, preferably in the forex brokerage industry or financial services sector.

Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, with a strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.

Experience with trading platforms such as MetaTrader 4/5, cTrader, or other proprietary trading systems is highly desirable.

Understanding of MetaTrader server configurations & PCI testing experience are essential

Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including encryption protocols, access controls, and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, MiFID II).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively to meet business needs.
