MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
- Work under the supervision of the IT Manager who will provide ongoing support, mentorship and guidance to develop IT skills.
- Support the IT infrastructure by resolving hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Assist with routine system maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Contribute to the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software, including setting up new workstations.
- Deliver technical support to employees, resolving IT-related issues promptly either in-person or through remote assistance.
- Ensure data accuracy through regular data cleansing, as guided by the IT Manager.
- Adapt to working multiple systems and learn new tools as required to support operational needs.
- Assist in maintaining overall IT operations to ensure smooth and continuous service.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Minimum MQF Level 4 qualification in ICT; additional qualifications in IT Essentials, CCNA, MCSA and/or MCSE are desirable.
- At least one year of proven experience in a similar role would be preferred; however, on-the-job training will be provided.
- Proficient in MS office tools and comfortable working on computers and phones.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and troubleshoot IT issues effectively.
- Adaptable to new technologies and committed to continuous learning.
- Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in identifying and resolving system or data issues.
- Demonstrates resilience and a positive attitude when facing challenges, maintaining composure under pressure.
- Willing to share knowledge and contribute to team success and cohesion.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking guidance and direction when needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English (both verbal and written) is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Effective time management skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive in seeking feedback and implementing suggestions for improvement to enhance performance.
- Willingness to undertake any other duty as required from time to time.
