Our client, an award-winning boutique Law Firm in Malta is looking for a Junior Lawyer to join their friendly team where they will be given the opportunity to learn and develop their career. In this role you will perform a selection of duties including registration, review and administration of client portfolios. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform day-to-day functions of portfolios including registration and maintenance of companies – such as attendance at and minuting of meetings, drafting of statutory documents, and preparation and submission of forms to the Malta Business Registry
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and negotiation of corporate documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence
  • Perform legal research and analysis on various corporate law issues, including compliance, governance, and regulatory matters
  • Drafting of agreements, minutes and resolutions
  • Assist in ensuring the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including monitoring legislative changes and advising on their impact
  • Provide support to senior lawyers in complex legal matters, including drafting reports, legal opinions, and memoranda
  • Participate in client meetings, take detailed notes, and follow up on action items as directed
  • Knowledge of the workings of trusts and foundations will be considered an asset.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Ideally a Master’s degree in Law. If not yet warranted candidates will still be considered
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working in corporate law, international taxation, or international business is required
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a must; other languages are considered an asset
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to perform diligently under pressure
