GRS Recruitment is pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer - Corporate & Regulatory role based in Malta. Our client, a leading accounting company committed to delivering exceptional financial and advisory services, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic chance for a qualified lawyer with a strong background in legal and regulatory matters to contribute to a reputable organisation within a dynamic industry. The successful candidate will advise the firm's clients on the optimal corporate setup, including company formation, mergers, joint ventures and restructurings and will have 1-2 years of experience in a Corporate officer role (or equivalent). 
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advise firm's clients on the optimal corporate setup, including company formation, mergers, joint ventures and restructurings
  • Draft, review and negotiate transactional documents in liaison with other advisors
  • Conduct due diligence in transactions to identify legal risks and liabilities
  • Research into specific areas of law and provide timely guidance on the impact of these laws
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and offering tailored regulatory solutions
  • Assist clients in obtaining necessary licenses and regulatory approvals for operating in specific industries and/or issuance of financial instruments, such as banking, insurance, investment management and capital markets,
  • Contributing to articles and content on corporate, commercial law, private clients and financial service areas
  • Assisting and collaborating with a team of professionals, from different backgrounds, on numerous transactions pertaining to setting up and supporting authorised and regulated entities covering such areas as digital assets, gaming, aviation, maritime, raising of finance, fintech and innovation
  • Assisting in the formulation of policies and procedures with respect to regulatory requirements
  • Assisting with compliance issues emanating from ongoing supervision processes
  • Dealing with specific regulatory issues which may arise periodically
  • Provide training, internally and to clients on corporate and regulatory developments and the respective impact on the industry
  • Such other duties as may be assigned by the firm from time to time
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Education – MQF Level 6 in Law & a warranted practitioner
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Corporate officer role (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills especially in written and spoken English.    
  • Excellent organisational skills, preferably with project management experience  
  • Ability to follow-up on outstanding tasks and bringing them to a conclusion
  • A strong eye for detail, while being efficient in the execution of daily deliverables
  • Be organised and able to perform demanding transactions
  • Ability to work well with people and within a diverse and international team
  • Knowledge and confidence using MS Office applications such as Word, Power Point and Excel, preferably ECDL Certified
SALARY AND BENEFITS
  • €24,000 - €27,000 Gross Per Annum
  • Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability
