An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified Lawyer to join a global Accounting & Advisory Firm in Malta. The successful candidate will join the financial services division of the company and handle a portfolio of services whilst keeping good relations with clients. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting and supporting a team of professionals, from different backgrounds, on numerous transactions pertaining to licensing, Fintech and Innovation, VFAs, Credit and Financial Institutions.

Supporting Clients in obtaining financial services licenses.

Vetting, drafting, negotiating, and advising on legal instruments.

Assisting in the formulation of policies and procedures, with respect to regulator.

Assisting with compliance issues emanating from the ongoing supervision processes.

Dealing with specific regulatory issues which may arise periodically.

Providing legal advice to Clients in the financial services industry.

Formulation of solutions to Client issues.

Research into specific areas of law.

Drafting and preparing written Client deliverables.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for projects.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Possess a warrant to practice law in Malta.
-
Experience in the financial services industry of 1 – 2 years.

Proficient and fluent in both written and verbal English, with additional languages being considered an asset.

Organised and able to perform demanding transactions.

Willing to work effectively and develop within the company.

Have a professional mindset and excellent communication skills.
