Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their Cyprus operations. This critical role will spearhead their commercial growth strategy by identifying, developing, and securing new MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) contract opportunities across Cyprus. The successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding project pipeline, building strategic client relationships, and positioning our client as the leading MEP contractor in the Cypriot market. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role demands an entrepreneurial mindset, deep understanding of the construction industry, and proven ability to convert opportunities into signed contracts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Minimum 7-10 years of proven business development experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years specifically in MEP contracting or related technical services

Demonstrated track record of securing large-scale projects (minimum €500K value) and achieving sales targets

Experience working with international contractors, multilateral development banks, or government infrastructure projects in Cyprus or the Mediterranean region

Established network of contacts within Cyprus's construction, real estate, and development sectors

Comprehensive understanding of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and low-current systems

Familiarity with construction contract types (lump sum, remeasured, design-build) and standard forms (FIDIC, JCT, local Cypriot contracts)

Proficiency in reading technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities

Working knowledge of project estimation principles and commercial risk assessment
