MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITLIES
  • Act as the main point of contact for port agents and vessel owners, ensuring seamless communication on all port operation matters.
  • Appoint, evaluate, and monitor Port Agents, keeping accurate performance records.
  • Assist with budget planning, forecasting, and monitoring operational expenditures.
  • Oversee sailing areas, itineraries, deviations, and related operational requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with vessel owners and internal departments on port calls, bunkering, and voyage matters.
  • Manage PDAs and FDAs, ensuring timely prefunding and accurate budget tracking.
  • Support bunker planning, fuel budget management, and invoice processing.
  • Ensure full compliance with maritime regulations and company procedures.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, contribute to process improvements, and drive continuous development initiatives.
  • Represent the company at meetings and forums as needed.
  • Stay fully engaged with the Company Management System and apply best practices across operations.
  • Take on additional projects or initiatives assigned by the Head of Department or Company Management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • 1–2 years’ experience in port operations, including budgeting, agency management, or working with disbursement accounts; OR experience as a seagoing officer; OR a degree in Shipping/Maritime Studies.
  • Strong understanding of port operations, maritime regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English.
  • MXP experience is a plus.
