GRS Recruitment are working in close partnership with an established and international company who are searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join their operation in Limassol.  This client has been in operation for over 30 years and is consistently growing. The successful candidate will offer previous experience working within Purchasing, Supply Chain or Logistics Management with a solid understanding of International Logistics. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Match Forecasted levels of customer demand, with Contracted Supply to ensure and plan orders accordingly
  • Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers
  • Act as an escalation point of contact for issues relating to order accuracy and quality
  • Assist Department Manager in Negotiating in contracts and pricing while monitoring the quality of service provided
  • Produce and present various reports and statistics for upper Management
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant internal and external business partners
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency of shipping operations, invoicing, record keeping and inventories
  • Proactively work with Department Manager to identify issues and provide long term solutions
  • Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
  • Report to management on activities and issues
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Proven experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or Logistics  
  • Educated to BSc/BA level or the equivalent in a Supply Chain, Shipping or logistics is a must
  • Knowledge of logistics operations and shipping procedures and documents
  • Solid knowledge of international logistics procedures
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities and an excellent team player
  • Analytical, well-organized and self-directed.
  • Comfortable with documentation and information systems
  • Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (strong Excel), Microsoft Navision will be considered a plus
  • Good understanding of budgeting and reporting
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates
