DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support strategic growth initiatives and international business development activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with shipowners, ship managers, operators, and maritime stakeholders worldwide
- Coordinate and strengthen the organization’s international representation
- Oversee operational performance and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and service delivery
- Support initiatives related to Port State Control (PSC) performance, compliance, and quality standards
- Provide technical support to the Recognized Organizations and industry stakeholders
- Assist in the development of new markets and strategic partnerships
- Enhance the organization's standing and visibility within the international maritime sector.
- Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to the Board and management
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Minimum 10 years of experience within the maritime industry
- Previous experience with a ship registry, classification society, flag administration, ship management company, or related maritime organization
- Strong understanding of flag state operations, statutory compliance, and international maritime regulations
- Commercially minded with proven business development capabilities
- Established network within the international shipping industry will be considered an advantage
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate in a dynamic international environment
- Fluent in English
