A medium sized Accounting, Corporate & Advisory firm, with a young and dynamic team is looking for a Senior Accountant / Supervisor to join their team in Malta or Gozo. You will be responsible for planning and reviewing work carried out by the Accounts Executives as well as other junior members of staff. The ideal candidate will be ACCA qualified (or in the latter stages), have relevant experience, ideally in supervising a team. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan work of the accounts department
  • Review work carried out by the Accounts Executives as well as other junior members of staff
  • Conduct tasks within pre-determined deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies
  • Interact with superiors and carrying out their requests
  • Liaise with auditors
  • Liaise with clients and addressing any of their queries
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Prepare year-end management accounts
  • Update clients’ bookkeeping on a monthly basis
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • ACCA qualified (or latter stages)
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Handling confidential information
  • Performing work under pressure
  • Solid understanding of GAPSME and IFRS
  • Strong prioritization and organization skills
