GRS Recruitment is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Senior Compliance Officer to join our esteemed client, a well-established Forex Trading company located in Limassol. The Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing compliance, AML, and legal matters across the regulated and unregulated entities serviced by the company. This role ensures that the company’s services align with applicable regulatory expectations, industry best practices, and contractual obligations. The Compliance Officer will also supervise and support junior compliance staff to maintain efficiency and consistency in compliance-related functions. The Senior Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing compliance, AML, and legal matters across the regulated and unregulated entities serviced by the company. The Senior Compliance Officer will also supervise and support junior compliance staff to maintain efficiency and consistency in compliance-related functions.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and contractual obligations across all serviced entities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal compliance and AML policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments, internal reviews, and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Ensure adherence to AML, KYC, CDD, and EDD requirements, assisting in financial crime prevention efforts where applicable.
  • Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and relevant documentation required for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from clients, auditors, and legal advisors.
  • Provide compliance-related training, support, and guidance to internal teams.
  • Investigate and escalate any identified risks, breaches, or compliance concerns in line with internal protocols.
  • Support the organization in matters related to regulatory interactions, industry guidelines, and client expectations.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of junior compliance officers, ensuring alignment with internal policies and service quality standards.
  • Coordinate workflow within the compliance team to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to best practices.
  • Follow all instructions issued by the Regulatory Affairs Manager, ensuring compliance with any guidelines, practices, and directives established by the department.
  • Perform any other tasks, duties, or responsibilities that are related, incidental, or ancillary to the execution of the above responsibilities, as may be reasonably required by the Employer from time to time.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years in compliance, with experience in the forex industry.
  • Education: A degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Certifications: CySEC certificates and experience in the industry are a significant advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in compliance project tracking and management software.
    • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
