Our client, a leading corporate law firm with offices in Limassol and Nicosia, is seeking exceptionally talented Corporate Lawyers to join their Financial Services team. This is a rare opportunity to work on high-value, cross-border projects for a diverse range of domestic and international clients, while contributing to the growth and success of a firm renowned for its expertise, professionalism, and innovative approach to legal services.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain and update client accounting records with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide expert advice to clients navigating the Cyprus and EU legal and regulatory framework in the financial services sector.
  • Offer guidance on all legal and regulatory matters, including banking, investment services, payment services, crypto assets, funds, and capital markets regulation.
  • Liaise with a diverse client base, including domestic, EU, and non-EU credit and financial institutions, investment firms, collective investment vehicles, corporations, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to the firm’s strategic growth.
  • Anticipate and address client challenges proactively.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of junior lawyers.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a corporate legal role.
  • Strong legal expertise in one or more of the following areas: corporate and commercial law, contract law, financial services, and banking regulations.
  • Familiarity with multiple sectors and industries.
  • Practical understanding of cross-border transactions, particularly with key investment destinations from Cyprus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex global organization.
  • Commercial awareness and market intelligence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, managerial, and negotiation skills.
  • Professional discipline and readiness to assume responsibility.
  • Ability to act as a brand ambassador for the firm at all times.
