We are partnering with a fast-growing performance-driven technology & digital marketing organisation to recruit a Senior Google Ads Specialist. This role is ideal for an experienced paid search professional who thrives on data, strategy, and campaign performance optimisation. As Senior Google Ads Specialist you will play a pivotal role in shaping paid media strategy, leading execution across multiple campaign types, and using insights to drive measurable business outcomes.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Take strategic ownership of the Google Ads channel, aligning campaigns with business goals and expanding paid search performance.
  • Plan, execute and optimise high-impact Search campaigns, as well as cross-channel efforts including Display, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube and Remarketing.
  • Define and implement scalable campaign structures, bidding strategies, and segmentation workflows.
  • Analyse complex performance data to identify trends, optimise budgets, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits, performance reviews and make high-level recommendations.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, ensuring best practices and consistent quality across campaigns.
  • Implement structured A/B testing across creatives, landing pages and campaign tactics.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with wider marketing goals.
  • Stay ahead of Google Ads updates, emerging trends and industry best practices.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • 5+ years’ hands-on experience managing and growing Google Ads campaigns within performance marketing or digital environments.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media, Communications, or related discipline.
  • Current Google Ads certification, with advanced specialisations considered a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of campaign strategies, bidding models, multi-channel planning, and measurement frameworks.
  • Strong command of GA4, Google Tag Manager, tracking and attribution frameworks.
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g. Ads Scripts, API workflows, Ads Editor).
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise performance data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and familiarity with analytics tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, SQL).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex insights clearly to stakeholders.
  • A proactive, performance-focused mindset with keen attention to detail.
