GRS Recruitment is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Senior Operations Officer to join our esteemed client, a leading Wealth Management company, based in the beautiful location of Malta. This is an exciting chance for a driven professional to contribute their expertise in operations within the financial services sector.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Posting and verifying the executed security and cash transactions in the Portfolio Management System (PMS) on a daily basis and acting as a reference point between Trade desk and Operations
  • Liaising with the various counterparties and brokers to ensure security transactions are executed and instructed as per Trade Desk instructions
  • Gathering all client instructions and instructing custodians in a timely manner for all types of Voluntary Corporate Actions, processing of these on the clients’ accounts, and distributing Corporate Actions notifications to the customers
  • Managing all Asset Transfer requests ie gathering relevant client instructions, posting of Asset Transfer instructions in PMS and resolving any settlement issues
  • Conducting cash and security reconciliations and resolving any reconciliation issues including client payments queries
  • Preparing relevant Manager Information in a timely manner
  • Producing and distributing Valuation reports and other client reports
  • Contribute to the implementation and controls for daily processes
  • Assume responsibility in the reviewing of the Standard Operating Procedures that are in line and comply fully with the relevant up to date regulatory requirements including, but not exclusively, the MFSA’s standard license conditions, PML, Mifid II, MAD II, and the MFSA’s conduct of business rules
  • Any other duties as may as assigned from time to time by the Head of Operations to ensure the smooth running of the Operations department
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Previous work experience working in an Operations department within the financial industry (bank, custodian, brokerage)
  • Analytical skills, be able to work independently and have a can-do attitude
  • Good knowledge of the various types of Investment products (equities, bonds, mutual funds, FX)
