An international Shipping company with offices abroad and in Cyprus is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a Senior Supply Planner for their Cyprus based operations. This role is responsible for managing all supply chain activities across the Europe and Africa regions to ensure uninterrupted product availability and consistently high delivery performance. This includes driving safe, cost-efficient operations, maintaining strong alignment with internal commercial and functional teams, and ensuring that supply chain capabilities support the company’s growth ambitions. The position also oversees inventory replenishment for both raw materials and turnkey finished goods across the region.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the regional replenishment plan for turnkey products, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with the Global Supply Chain (GSC) team in Singapore to translate demand plans into executable supply plans.
  • Align with the Production Planning Manager to maintain stock at agreed Minimum Stock Levels (MSLs).
  • Oversee regional inventory management, including inter warehouse movements and ERP based stock transfers.
  • Coordinate with local and regional teams to optimize replenishment of finished goods (drums, pails, bulk), ensuring all delivery requirements are captured.
  • Reduce slow moving inventory monthly and deplete dead stock in the most cost-efficient manner.
  • Organize and oversee stock counts at Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) to ensure accuracy between physical stock and ERP records.
  • Reconcile monthly stock movements to eliminate discrepancies.
  • Support the Production Planning Manager in incident reporting and emergency response related to warehouse operations.
  • Support the Production Planning Manager in managing 3rd party LSP performance through structured contract management.
  • Ensure timely resolution of supply and distribution issues.
  • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives with LSPs.
  • Maintain strong operational relationships with turnkey product suppliers.
  • Ensure LSP operations comply with Ethical, Legislative, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards at all times.
  • Lead or participate in regional supply chain improvement initiatives and strategic projects as assigned.
  • Operating in a highly demanding environment where customers expect 100% delivery performance.
  • Ensuring operational excellence and agility to meet evolving customer requirements.
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with turnkey suppliers and LSPs.
  • Collaborating closely with sales teams to support customer facing activities and ensure reliable product supply.
  • Building effective relationships with managers and teams across regional offices to support GOM operations.
  • Identifying and delivering cost competitiveness opportunities for the region.
  • Championing the implementation of GOM systems and process improvements with service providers and alliance partners.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management/Research, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields. Diploma holders with extensive relevant experience are also welcome.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience (8 years for Diploma holders), ideally in the Marine or Oil & Gas Industries.
  • Proven proficiency in supply chain planning, cost analysis, forecasting, and inventory optimization.
  • Strong motivation to enhance supply chain and operational performance through optimization and capability building.
  • Experience working with multinational, cross functional teams and building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong customer focused mindset with the ability to understand customer behaviors, expectations, and buying patterns.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience managing HSE requirements for packed and bulk liquid storage, handling, and logistics.
  • Fluent in English; additional regional languages are an advantage
  • Be reachable by phone during weekends for emergency cases.
