Our client, a Malta-based Accounting and corporate services company providing Accounting, Audit, Tax & Advisory Services are now working with GRS to recruit an Senior Tax Compliance Specialist to support their organization. Ideally you will have 1-2 years’ experience and ideally be part or halfway ACCA qualified. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review income tax returns and computations for both corporate entities and individuals
  • Review income tax refund claim forms, shareholder registration and dividend warrants
  • Liaise with the tax authorities on tax compliance matters as may be required
  • Assist on any ad hoc tax advisory assignments
  • Keep abreast with the changing tax environment, both locally and internationally
  • Continuous technical development and growth
CANDIDATE PROFILE  
  • A graduate from the University of Malta (Honours or Masters in Accountancy) or a holder of an ACCA qualification
  • A minimum of two-year working experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of Maltese income tax related matters, including but not limited to the Maltese tax regimes such as the tax payment and refund mechanism and fiscal unity, capital gains tax, notional interest deduction and double taxation relief
  • An understanding of the international tax climate, such as ATAD, OECD Treaties, Interest and Royalties Directive, the Royalties Directive and the Parent Subsidiary Directive
  • Be results driven, with excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Give attention to detail and ability to manage tasks and time effectively
  • An excellent command of English
  • Be analytical with good problem-solving skills, ensuring high quality service delivery
  • Work with other departments to provide solutions to clients
