GRS Recruitment is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Tax Manager to join a dynamic trading company based in Larnaca. Our client is keen on finding a dedicated professional who has a solid background in accounting, particularly in tax. You will be part of a team of experienced professionals, working closely with colleagues from the wider group network and teams located in several overseas jurisdictions. 
The successful candidate will be required to advise and assist in developing and executing tax projects that will enhance the group’s performance and compliance with laws and regulations. This position will report directly to the Group Head of Tax.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Working closely with the Tax Team in Cyprus to:  
    • Proactively monitor local and international tax developments
    • Ensure compliance with local and international legislation and requirements
    • Support with local and international tax compliance and group reporting obligations
    • Assist on Pillar II project and country-by-country reporting
    • Assist on transfer pricing matters including preparation of master and local files
    • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
    • Coordinate tax policies, processes and procedures
    • Liaise and coordinate with other departments and group entities in various jurisdictions
    • Assist on the development of tax systems and processes
    • Identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency and effectiveness (e.g. automation)
    • Assist in the execution of various business initiatives and projects
    • Timely complete tasks in accordance with work schedule and set deadlines
    • Assist with local taxes queries, reviewing tax returns and ensure tax filing obligations are met  
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University Degree in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance or in a related field including ACCA or ACA qualification
  • 7+ years of similar experience in an international company or relevant experience in international tax advisory
  • Overseas international tax experience will be considered as an advantage
  • Strong understanding of international tax concepts including OECD BEPS actions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to deliver clear guidance and instructions group functions and subsidiaries
  • Ability to develop trusting and effective working relationships with teams across the group
  • Self-motivated and used to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Highly reliable, trustworthy and loyal personality
  • Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
  • Strong analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills with great attention to details
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver in an accurate manner and within deadlines
